 A high speed rotor/stator generator subjects materials to intense mechanical and hydraulic shear. The material enters the rotor/stator generator from below in a batch configuration, or through an inlet in an in-line configuration. The high speed rotor accelerates the material and expels it at high speed through the stator.
A variety of rotor and stator designs are available to suit each application. Multi-stage rotor/stator generators feature rows of rotors and stators nested together to increase shear. In many applications, Q-Slot and X-Series models can produce sub-micron emulsions and dispersions in extremely short mixing cycles.
