Charles Ross & Son Company, also known as ROSS Mixers, is now a corporate member of the New York Battery and Energy Storage Technology Consortium (NY-BEST). Established in 1842 in Rochester, ROSS is proud of its deeply rooted New York history. The company moved to Brooklyn in 1868, and again in 1965 to its current corporate headquarters in Hauppauge. ROSS has since expanded operations to four other US plant locations, two in China and one in India. Today, ROSS mixers and blenders are used worldwide in the production of battery electrode slurries, binder solutions, electrolytes, separators, catalysts, fuel cell pastes, biofuels, conductive coatings, electronic inks, advanced adhesives, structural composites and other specialty chemicals.

NY-BEST Consortium was created in 2010 and now has over 185 members, including manufacturers, academic institutions, engineering firms, technology and materials developers, government entities and end-users. Its mission is to continually position New York, through education and thought leadership, as a global leader in advancing energy storage as a key solution for a clean energy future. NY-BEST also serves as an expert resource for companies looking to grow their businesses and make connections to establish a strong energy storage ecosystem in New York State.
